hillarious passages from books
Ok, i haven't posted in quite a while. Hehe, sorry, i have just been too lazy. Been spending my time reading books. I have read Angels & Demons, Da Vinci Code, Harry Potter the 4th and 5th book (for the millionth time). Speaking about these books, i came across quite funny passages in the books. Let me type them out for you to read. I think you might find them interesting.

Da Vinci Code Pg 419, last para, he is talking abt Baphomet the horned god of fertility, who has the head of a goat:

Baphomet also appeared in group photographs when some joker raised two fingers behind a friend's head in the V-symbol of horns; certainly few of the pranksters realized their mocking gesture was in fact advertising their victim's robust sperm count.

Something for people two think about the next time they take a photograph.

And the next one is quite long, from Harry Potter and the order of the phoenix. But funny all the same. Just cut some parts.
It happens after Harry and Cho kiss and Harry tells Ron and Hermione about it:

'Well?' Ron said finally, looking up at Harry. 'How was it?'

Harry considered for a moment.

'Wet,' he said truthfully.

Ron made a noise that might have indicated disgust or jubiliation, it was hard to tell.

'Because she was crying,' Harry continued heavily.

'Oh,' said Ron, his smile fading slightly 'Are you that bad at kissing?'

'Dunno' said Harry, who hadn't considered this, and immediately felt rather worried. 'Maybe I am'

'Of course you're not,' said Hermione absently, still scribbling away at her letter.

'How do you know?' said Ron very sharply.

'Because Cho spends half her time crying these days,' said Hermione vaguely. 'She does at mealtimes, in the loos, all over the place.'

'You'd think a bit of kissing would cheer her up.' said Ron, grinning.

'Ron,' said Hermione in a dignified voice, 'you are the most insensitive wart I have ever had the misfortune to meet.'

'Whats that supposed to mean?' said Ron indignantly. ' What sort of person cries when someone's kissing them?'

'Yeah,' said Harry, slightly desperate. 'Who does?'

Hermione looked at the pair of them with an almost pitying expression on her face.

'Don't you understand how Cho is feeling at the moment?' she aked.

'No' said Ron and Harry together.

Hermione sighed and put down her quill.

'Well, obviously, she's feeling very sad, because of Cedric dying. Then I expect she is feeling confused because she liked Cedric and now she likes Harry, and can't work out who she likes best. Then, she'll be feeling guilty, thinking it is an insult to Cedric's memory to be kissing Harry at all, and she'll be worrying about what everyone else might say about her if she starts going out with Harry. And she probably can't work out what her feelings toward Harry are, anyway, because he was the one who was with Cedric when Cedric died, so that's all very mixed up and painful. Oh, and she's afraid she's going to be thrown out of the ravenclaw quiditch team because she's been flying so badly.'

A slightly stunned silence greeted the end of this speech, then Ron said, 'One person can't feel all that at once, they'd explode.'

'Just because you have the emotional range of a teaspoon doesn't mean we all have,' said Hermione rather nastily.

'You just had to be nice to her,' said Hermione, looking up at Harry anxiously. 'You were, weren't you?'

'Well,' said Harry, an unpleasant heat creeping up his face, 'I sort of - patted her on the back a bit'

Hermione looked as though she was trying not to roll her eyes with extreme difficulty.

End of quote. Phew, finally finished typing it out. i thought it was rather funny.

Anyways, back to my life. Nothing much going on. Went to Sentosa last Thursday for Cadbury outing. Super Funnnnn!!!! We camwhored a lot. My fave pic is the splash kicking thingy and the ones taken at the staircase in Sentosa.

Been listening to My Immortal. Nice song. Going for picnic tommorow with Niki and Uma!!!! Couldn't go last week. Should be fun, with all our crazy crappingness. I just have to make myself extra hyper to get ready for tommorow. I was unbelievably lethargic today. I am planning to start reading A Thousand Splendid Suns. My sister keeps going on and on about how wonderful the book is.

Yup,thats it. Going to go catch Aapki Antara now. Bye!!
